Our cattery is located in the northwestern part of Croatia in a town known as the residence of the nobleman family Zrinski in the 16th and 17th century. We are registered with FIFE and members of the feline association Križevci. Our house's backyard is partly enclosed and adapted so that our cats can experience the outdoors but still be kept safe.
Our whole family, including my husband and daughters are huge animal lovers, especially of cats, and therefore we all take part in attending to our pets. Our first Persian cat set our minds straight; calm, devoted and disinclined towards wandering off, it was exactly what we were looking for.
While visiting several cat shows in our area we came upon the QUEEN OF ALL PERSIAN CATS, an emerald eyed silver shaded Persian. Our minds were set - this was the cat we wanted to have. After over a year of negotiation we finally acquired her and introduced Koko Chanel od Kalnika to our home. This distinctive female became and remained the queen of our feline family.
However, these cats, called chinchilla (silver and golden shaded) are somewhat different from the classical Persian cat. These animals are above all very sensible and devoted, what needs to be born in mind if you are thinking of getting this breed. They require time, love and attention form the owner, and can not be merely used as a children’s toy.
Our cats are first of all our pets and are free to use all the rooms of our house. Only secondarily they are breeding animals. On cat shows they have so far achieved the title IC (International Champion), and with our new silver shaded boy and girl we hope for even greater success.
When it comes to breeding we value both appearance and character of our cats. As the appearance should follow the breed standard, we prefer big green eyes and a sweet, doll-face expression. Our cats are devoted, undemanding, exceptionally sleek and neat, and therefore we hope that our kittens will be too.
